The parade shoul last about 30 minutes and if you would like to take your child home for an early dismissal please fill out the RSVP by Sept. 4th so that we may let their teachers know ahead of time. Join us for our annual Story Book Character Parade! It is happening on September 5th beginning at 2:15. The Klein High Band will be leading our Kindergarten through 5th grade students in a school wide parade outside around the playground and basketball court. Patriots are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book character.
If it is raining or we are under a heat advisory we will parade indoors.
Parents are invited to watch with Pre-K along the sidewalk outside of the school or in the cafeteria. It is sure to be an amazing parade as we watch students bring their storybook character to life.
Klein ISD earned an A rating in the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) component of the Texas Education Agency’s 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings and maintained a B overall, rising from an 80 in 2023 to an 86 in 2025.
Since the TEA raised performance standards in 2023, the district has seen a 30% increase in A-rated schools, a 13% increase in B-rated schools, and a 55% decrease in C-rated schools, with no schools rated D or F. All five high schools and all ten intermediate schools earned an A or B, and students across Klein ISD earned 127 academic distinctions, a 37% increase since 2023.

We are getting ready to Blast Off for an exciting new year. Parents, please bring your students to our "Meet the Teacher" event, where our teachers will share a lot of information with you. Please mark your calendar for Monday, August 11th. Doors will open at 4:30 pm for our youngest students in Pre-K and Kindergarten. Then beginning at 5:00 pm, we welcome our 1st through 5th grade students and families. Our event will end promptly at 6:30 pm.
