On Saturday, February 7th, the Bayou City Middle School Art Contest announced the 30 finalists for 2026. This year over 500 students from the Houst area entered their artwork. We are proud to announce that Ulrich has 3 finalists this year, Catlynn N. 8th, Tianah M. 8th, and Gabriela O. N. 7th.
The Middle School Art Competition is for students in grades 5-8 from Houston schools. The art contest offers middle school students the opportunity to participate in a 2-D juried competition, have their art displayed in public, interact with working artists, and win prizes for themselves and their school’s art program.
This year’s theme “Through My Eyes” invited students to share the world as they see it: their neighborhoods, their families, their challenges, their hopes, and the moments that shape their unique perspectives.

This year, they will have the opportunity to participate in our Holiday Market, where they can select gifts for their loved ones using the Bulldog Bucks they’ve earned through their good deeds.
This special event is designed to encourage not only positive choices at school, but also the joy of giving to others. We’re proud of our students for demonstrating such wonderful character, and we can’t wait for them to experience the excitement of choosing gifts as a reward for their efforts!
