FLU AND COLD SEASON IS HERE
*Please notify the attendance office if your student is absent due to a fever and what the reason may be. For example, diagnosed flu, strep throat, eye infection (pink eye) or any other contagious illness the doctor feels that the school should be notified.
*Signs and symptoms of the flu: fever, sore throat and/or cough
**Helpful tips to keep you, your child, and our school community well:
Keep your child home for a fever of 100 or higher until they are fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medications (Tylenol, Motrin/Advil)
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze.
Wash your hands frequently, at least 20 seconds, and if soap and water are not available you can use an alcohol based sanitizer.
Make sure that children are getting plenty of rest, physical activity, drink plenty of water, and eating well to stay healthy
